You can connect to internal IP when you use the same router with server program.
If you want to connect to external IP over the internet, your router must support UPnp.

1. launch AirComixServer in your PC.
2. add some folders contains your comic books.
3. please click start button.
4. launch AirComix in your iphone.
5. add server.(from your server address)
6. connect to server and watch your comics.

Yes, I've been having trouble with the external IP. Sometimes it doesn't show anything on the left, sometimes it gives me the internal address in both boxes. Either way, it won't let me connect over 3g or Edge.

답글삭제If it does not show external address, you can see via web page 'http://whatismyip.org'. and i will add connection test in AirComixServer in a next update. and also connection by pin number will be added.
how to forward port is different by router what you use. but i think, it's nomally you may connect to 192.168.10.1 (address may be different) from web browser, and you can set it up from router's setup page. and please make sure turn a firewall off (or open a port).
I know port forwarding is not easy. if you search from google by your router's name and
port forwarding, you may get more detail instructions. it's better than my poor english and even i don't know all router's way to set up. I'm sorry about that :(

Is there anything I can do? Or at least can you let me know how to add shared folder to aircomix XML file directly?

Hi,I have no problem using air comix at home (must be the internal IP one with the same router as the server one; btw I am not really tech guy). Today, when I tried to use air comix in different place (so must be in different router system i guess?), the server cannot be connected. Is this because I tried to connect through the same IP address that I normally use at home or something else?

답글삭제1) The welcome message should be optional. I know some people may find it useful, but for me it is not. If you erase all text you get a blank pop-up in the app so it would be nice if this could be made optional.
2) It would be great if you could rename the servers. Right now it names the servers by IP and port, I would like to give them names such as "alamarco's PC" or "alamarco's Server".
Besides that, the app is outstanding and exactly what I was looking for. :)
After some more fooling around I found one major issues. A lot of my files are in RAR format. Could you add support to read RAR archives?
